What's Going On at Bethel

Bethel provides volunteer workers for the Bibles For Missions Thrift Store in Worthington the first Thursday of each month.  Anyone is welcome to join us as we help sort and sell things at the Thrift Store.  We meet at Bethel at 8:15am to carpool together.  If it doesn't work for you to ride along with the group, you are more than welcome to meet us at the store and help for as long as you are able.

Cookie Baking this Friday, September 2, at 1:00 p.m. at SWCH. Please join us for a couple of hours as we bake cookies for Sunday morning fellowship time. All are welcome! Please text Audrey Schuld-Stoel (507-879-3193) if you are able to help so that she knows how many people can help.

Orientation for 4th Grade Cadets followed by Counselor annual planning session will be Sept 14 at 6:30pm at Bethel CRC.

Fall Classis Minnkota will be held on Thursday, September 15 at Luverne CRC. Delegates from Bethel will be Pastor Brian, Steve Vander Maten, and Eric Sas.

Friendship picnic:  September 15, Thursday, 5:30 pm at the Rock River Park

Pastor Zach Olson, a Ministry Vocational Consultant with Pastor Church Resources, will be at Bethel this coming weekend, September 16-18, to help our church work through issues toward unification. Part of this process includes what he calls listening circles, times for Pastor Olson to hear from the people of Bethel (8-12 individuals per session). Sessions will be help Saturday, September 17 at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 pm, and Sunday, September 18 at 1:30 and 2:30.  Those who wish to share their thoughts or concerns have an opportunity to sign up for one of these sessions. WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITY- On September 21, Coffee Break will kick off a new season with registration and brunch at 9:30 in the First CRC Fellowship Room.  Join us as we fellowship and view an introductory video to begin a 15 week study of the Letters to the Seven Churches found in Revelation 1-3. Revelation is a revealing—and here in the letters to the churches we see Jesus in his glory, Jesus among his churches. As he stands with his church, he speaks words of commendation and correction. We see the revelation of God’s heart for his church. What will he say to these churches? To us today?  Childcare is provided for newborn to 3 years and there is Bible Story Hour for 3 years – Kindergarten

We are ready to start another year of Youth Group. Our kickoff will take place at Rock River Park shelter on Sept. 21st at 7 pm.

Christ’s Ambassadors will meet this evening after the evening worship service. Study Chapter 4 in the book A Place to Belong. New members welcome!

Cadet Season Kickoff night with Games for the Cadets and Hot Dogs for the family will be Sept 28 at 6:00pm at Rock River Park.

GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) meets at First CRC of Edgerton.

Greetings Care Group 4 Members,

Our Care Group has the opportunity to lead the chapel service at the Union Gospel Mission in Sioux Falls on Thursday, September 29.  Many of you have participated in the past and know that this is a great experience.  The format will be similar to past years: we will lead in singing/worship and then present a brief message from scripture.  We would like as many families from Care Group 4 to attend as possible.

Would you be willing to play the piano or other musical instrument

Your interest in presenting a brief message from scripture

 We will plan to meet at church around 5:30 pm on Sep 29 to car pool to Sioux Falls.
